About
Based at 7 Burnett Place, North Hobart, Jow Ga Tasmania Martial Art Academy is one of Tasmania's most established lion and dragon dance performing groups, recognised by Kung Fu Wushu Tasmania as the state's only Traditional Jow Ga Kung Fu school. Led by Head Instructor Wenda Tan, the academy performs the Jow Ga style of lion dance alongside dragon dance and traditional drumming. The team has been the performing troupe of choice at major Hobart Chinese community events, including the CCAT Lunar New Year festivals and the CCAT 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner in 2019.
