Grandmaster Felix Leong's Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy is one of Adelaide's oldest martial arts institutions, established in 1974 in the CBD. A Guangdong-born master with lineage tracing to legendary Wing Chun figures including Ip Chun and Sum Nung, Grandmaster Leong (inducted into the Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame 2023) maintains a long-standing tradition of performing Southern lion dance through his academy each Chinese New Year, blessing local businesses and bringing the tradition to Adelaide's CBD. While not a dedicated commercial lion dance troupe, the academy has a lion dance page on its website and lion dance is documented as a regular feature of the academy's CNY celebrations and formal ceremonies.
